I worried that he would not survive and wondered how he could even be alive. Putting him into the rescue truck, his body flopped down onto the bedding but his head raised when his eyes spied a nearby toy and he was able to grab the toy and hold it in his mouth. That was the first sign that this boy had a strong will to live. Search and see photos of adoptable pets in Las Vegas, NV area.
We promote that adoption of a rescue animal is a gift that you give to yourself more than you give to the animal. I originally bought my dog from this same non profit 6 years earlier for over $300. Two days after I let them care for my dogs, I contacted Stephanie, who informed me that she had given Polly to another non profit and she wasn't giving me Bentley back. They are going to make another $300 off each dog they re-home. If they truelly cared about these dogs, they would charge what the dog pound charges, which is $50 I believe. And they would inform people that the dog they were buying had siezures, which they did not do when we bought Polly.

Consumers want to see how a business took care of business. No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter. My Way Home Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit, comprised 100% of volunteers.

They did not have a Las Vegas business license where they took the dogs from. The animal society had directed them not to do any dog pickups the day they picked up our dogs. They are not licenced to solicit for donations yet they do on their Facebook page. How those businesses take care of those complaints is what separates good businesses from the rest. This is the best way to manage and repair your business reputation.

Meet Mercury, a boy who inspired the entire Las Vegas valley...and even affected the hearts of people throughout the world! Severely neglected and starved to an extent that he was on the brink of death, in March of 2019, our local animal shelter reached out to us for help due to his emaciated state. His thin frame received a body scale score of only 1 out of 9, which is the lowest score that a dog can have before death. It is unimaginable that someone would starve a puppy and allow him to suffer slowly.

We vaccinated, microchip, perform dentals as needed and have also performed orthopaedic surgeries, cherry eye surgeries, tumor removal, and other medical procedures as needed. Once a dog enters our rescue, he or she remains our focus for the remainder of their lives. We adopt them to forever homes on a contract with a strict return policy. We have no physical address, as we operate solely out of foster homes. We are a 501 non-profit organization dedicated to ethical care of animals with an emphasis on quality over quantity.

This means that we are not striving to take in high numbers of animals, but instead to give the highest quality of care and a better experience for each individual. The animals in our care come from high-kill animal shelters, owner surrenders, neglect situations, puppy mills, and from fellow rescuers. Some of these animals have been abused, neglected, abandoned, forgotten, or simply re-homed due to necessity or convenience. We are not here to pass judgment upon people who need to rehome their animals.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. We are a rescue focusing on dachshunds, dachshund mixes, and other small dogs that are in the shelters or surrendered by their owners.
